How to send Survey through SMS Feature

The SMS feature currently allows surveys to be via WhatsApp.

1. Email us (support@sametrica.com) if you are interested in enabling this function.

2. Once the feature is enabled and confirmed, navigate to the ‘Forms’ tab in the Data Collector and click the drop down menu on the Participant Survey.

3. There should be the option to ‘Send SMS Survey’, select this.

4. It will now prompt you to upload a CSV. file with the information of your Artists.

5. Follow the formatting instructions in the upload window and upload the CSV file with your Artists information (remember to include area code in the phone number!). The file should look like this (where XXXXXXXX are the phone numbers):

6. Fill in the following sections once the CSV file is uploaded:

  1. ‘Choose language’ selects the language the survey will be sent in (English or French).
  2. ‘Select survey type’ should be SMS in the dropdown.
  3. ‘Select platform’ should be WhatsApp in the dropdown.
  4. ‘Enable simple anonymous respondent ID question should not be checked off.
  5. ‘Enter timeout (days)’ is how many days the participant has to answer the survey.
  6. ‘Enter retries (number)’ is how many attempts the respondent has to answer the question if they input an invalid response.

7. Once the CSV file has been successfully uploaded, the Artists will receive a message through their WhatsApp prompting them to start the survey and ask for their consent.
